In 1957 Dave Grattan founded the Dave Grattan Company, as a sales representative for a New York based masonry anchor manufacturer. 1963 was the year he relocated the business from Miami, Florida to Los Angeles, California. As business grew, he began representing addional fastener manufactures broadening his product line..

By the early 1970's, with the help of Dave's sons, Dave introduced the Grattan® brand of fasteners. By this time, his company played a major roll in the fastener industry, selling and servicing hardware, lumber dealers and industrial supply houses. Today, Grattan Fastening Products is owned by Brighton-Best International, Inc. (BBI) an innovative and vibrant investment company.
